Folding Timber Scribe / Race Knife [Preowned, SOLD]

This is a German made timber scribe also known as a race knife, scorer or tree marker and is used to permanently cut marks in wood or trees. The timber scribe is a versatile tool. The sharply ground and curved carbon steel blade allows easy penetration into the bark. This is a good quality example of a race knife. The blade folds into the handle for safe transportation.
