XLC Sitting Position Leisure:
– When developing a new XLC saddle initially the desired application area and thus directly connected seating position is in the foreground. Because the seating position ultimately determines the shape and padding of the newly developed saddle. The frame constructions of the XLC leisure saddles are particularly suitable for a moderate seating position, as for example in popular trekking bikes and in which the upper body is slightly tilted with 60° forward.
XLC Unisex:
– The properties of the XLC saddles were developed for the special anatomic demands of men and women. The distance between women’s ischial bones is about 130mm, men’s about 117mm. Furthermore, the genital areas of men and women are completely different. For this reason, special ladies’ XLC saddles are broader and shorter than those for gentlemen. The positioning of pressure-relieving padding is also arranged to match the different anatomic demands. There are two areas of use for which XLC produces saddles suited for men and women alike. Firstly, very sportive saddles, as the requirements and wishes of men and women in this area are very much alike. There exists a great choice of special MTB and race saddles for ladies, but still many women choose gents’ MTB saddles. Secondly, there are the very comfortable saddles for city and comfort bikes. These unisex saddles are very large and their soft padding is suited for ladies and gentlemen alike.
