This traditional Stout Hazel Coppice Knobstick Walking Stick, made from a single piece of wood, is extremely strong and durable, suitable even for the larger user. It features a large, perfectly polished handle that is easy to grip, and a practical metal ferrule that is useful for helping you up and down hills, through mud, nettles and brambles.

Rustic Appearance

Produced using the natural coppicing method, this unique Country Walking Stick features a wonderfully rough shaft and a polished handle. To maintain and enhance the rustic, perfectly natural appearance of this stick, there are no collars or other embellishments added to the handle or the shaft.

Stout and Durable

Much thicker and heavier than your average Hazel Coppice Knobstick, this stick is designed for the larger user. Due to the natural manufacturing process, the shaft and the handle are made from one piece of wood, which greatly reduces the chances of the stick breaking, while the comfortable knob handle is suitable even for larger hands.

The Knobstick

A traditional British walking stick, the knobstick is made from coppiced wood, usually ash, hazel or blackthorn. The original tree is cutback, and the resultant shoots form the raw material for walking sticks.

The ‘knob’ handle is formed from the parent tree, so that the walking stick is in effect grown upside down. A good knobstick fits comfortably into the palm of the hand.

Can I Replace the Ferrule?

Yes, if your ferrule becomes worn, you can remove the fitted ferrule and replace it with a new one. As this is a natural product, we recommend measuring the end of your stick to determine which size is right for your stick.
