The Mora Companion Heavy Duty (HD) is exactly as it’s name suggests – a heavy duty version of the renowned Companion knife. The blade is 3.2mm thick, around 0.7mm thicker than a normal companion. It may not sound like much, but when it comes to batoning and more arduous work, the extra thickness really does help. As with all Morakniv knives, it uses their excellent carbon steel, making it razor sharp right out of the box.
The heavy duty is great for anyone who is looking for something slightly more heavy duty than your average Mora Companion.

FAQ: Mora Heavy Duty Companion
Are there any more differences between the heavy duty and the normal companion?
Yes, the handle has a slightly thicker “belly”, making it a bit more ergonomic in adult hands.
Is the carbon steel easy to maintain?
So long as you oil it between uses and keep it dry, having the razor sharp edge is worth the maintenance, in our opnion!
How should I maintain the edge?
We recommend using a strop fairly frequently to maintain the razor sharp edge, rather than waiting for it to become dull to resharpen it.
