The Follower Shooting Stick Seat is a walking stick and seat combined into one that allows you to have a rest whenever you need it. Its brown leather design makes it extremely beautiful, particularly against the colours of nature.

Please Note: this stick features a spiked ferrule with a ground ground plate, which may not be suitable for pavements or indoor use. A rubber ferrule that fits on top of the spike is also available, which you can add to your purchase by ticking the box at the top of the page.

Traditionally-Styled Seat Stick

A traditionally styled seat stick, the Walking Stick Seat is easily opened into a seat when you require a rest. Seat sticks are an essential accessory and are also known as ‘shooting sticks’ as a result of their popularity on British pheasant and grouse shoots.

Leather Seat

Designed with a leather seat and leather-wrapped handles in a medium brown with decorative stitching, you’ll look stylish when you walk through the countryside with this Follower Shooting Stick. The single-legged seat is ideal for those who are more able in body and don’t suffer from instability or dizziness.

Painted Shaft

The Walking Stick Chair’s shaft has been painted brown and is fitted with a folding ground plate. When folded down, the ground plate helps prevent the seat from sinking into soft ground. While you’re walking, the part can be folded upwards so it doesn’t bang against your ankle.

The Rubber Ferrule for Seat Sticks can be purchased alongside the Follower. This is fitted over the spike so you can use the support on hard ground or pavements.

Sizing of the Follower Stick

The Follower Hunting Stick has a walking height of 90cm (35.5″) and a sitting height of 75cm (29.5″) to suit those who know how tall their support should be. Please note that the recommended user weight limit is approximately 15.5 stone (100kg).

Can I Use the Stick On Hard Surfaces?

The metal, spiked ferrule (base) of this walking stick is fantastic for those country walks, but might not be the best for walking on pavements or indoors. Luckily, we also carry a rubber ferrule, specifically made to fit on to the ends of spiked shooting sticks, which you can add to your order on the top of the page. It helps improve grip on hard surfaces and reduce the chances of slipping.
