Clifton No.6 Fore Plane – Old School! [Preowned, SOLD]

Pre-owned with a few dints and scratches but in excellent functional order.
This is an older Clifton (Sheffield) model which many would say are better than the new models (don’t shoot the messenger!). A 2 piece cap iron and hand forged 2 3/8″ wide blade are great features. Green painted which dates it to about at least 10-12 years ago. It can’t have done much work as the iron is still very full.
This 450mm plane has bubinga handles and weighs in at 4kgs – a heavy beast from Yorkshire.
2 very small edge “dints” to the sole which we do not think affect performance.
Supplied with a plane sack to help keep it in great condition.
