Please note that this walking stick is made from a real tree so the ferrule size will depend on the width of the branch.

Handmade Heritage

This knobstick is not simply made – it is grown! The ancient technique of coppicing involves cutting back the source trees about a metre back from the ground, stimulating the growth of new shoots that grow to an appropriate diameter for a walking stick.

Knobstick Handle

The knobstick handle is carved out from a branch, a root or the trunk of a tree. Simple yet effective, it fits comfortably into the palm of the hand and directs the user’s weight squarely down the shaft of the stick.

Ferrule Style

The Applewood Knobstick Walking Stick can be purchased with a rubber ferrule. The rubber ferrule can help to cushion impact and absorb shock that travels up the stick whenever it strikes against the ground. 

Please note that because this stick is fashioned directly from natural-occurring materials, no two sticks of this kind will be exactly the same.

Metal ferrules are only available for a height of 37″ or over. A rubber ferrule can be selected for all heights.

Can I Replace the Ferrule?

Yes, if your rubber ferrule becomes worn, you can remove the fitted ferrule and replace it with a new one. As this is a natural product, we recommend measuring the end of your stick to determine which size is right for your stick.
